FREMONT, CA — Today, Fremont Attorney Rakhi Israni announced her campaign for California’s 14th Congressional District with this video on social media. In it, Israni focuses on her experience as an educator, attorney, and mother of four, who will run for Congress focused on solving problems in a political environment in need of reform.
“This moment calls on each of us to serve a purpose greater than ourselves and to stand firmly on the side of truth,” said Israni. “It is the same set of values my husband and I are passing down to our four children, and it is with these values I announce my campaign for Congress. Today’s politics are defined by division and extreme rhetoric, so it is crucial for the safety of our communities that we elect a member of Congress focused on solving problems and lowering the temperature while hate and division infect our democracy. I am ready to lead, to restore justice and truth to our government, and focus on finding solutions to lower the skyrocketing costs crippling families in the Bay Area and across the country.”

Based in Fremont, Rakhi Israni has lived the promise of the American Dream. She has spent the last two decades raising her family and building her business here in the Bay Area. She has used her educational experience to guide our students by starting a leading national test prep company and her legal background to protect the vulnerable — representing the underserved in family court and helping the elderly with estate planning. As PTA President across her children’s elementary, middle, and high schools, she became a fierce advocate for families. As a volunteer executive for one of the nation’s largest faith-based humanitarian organizations, she leveraged her legal expertise to drive crisis relief and community support for one another. From the local interfaith council to national non-profit boards, she has proven that service is a way of life. As the founder and president of a successful educational company based in the Bay Area, she has mentored thousands of students.
Rakhi lives and works in Fremont with her husband, Nitesh, and their four children who are all attending Fremont Public Schools.
About the District:
California’s Open 14th Congressional District is an Alameda County-based Congressional district, spanning much of the East and South Bay area, extending west into the Tri-Valley region of Dublin, Livermore, and Pleasanton. It is nearly 50% in Democratic registration, with Republican registration only at 17%. Among registered voters, the district is a non-white majority, with Asian voters accounting for 32% of voter registrations. The district is home to over 42,000 registered Indian voters.
